Hitting - Load Position

After you get in your ideal baseball or softball stance, next comes the Load position.  This is the position you should be in right before you swing.  Head still, chin on front shoulder, elbow still tucked close to body, bat grip with knocking knuckles aligned or closely aligned, bat knob pointed towards ground, back elbow still bent at 45 degree angle, front knee bent slightly less than 90 degrees and front foot lifted 4" - 6" (will vary depending on size), with 70% of weight shifted to back leg.
